Neighbors Helping Neighbors' Car Program provides reliable transportation to Greene and Putnam County residents facing a significant transportation need. Because vehicles are limited and the need in our community is great, each application is carefully reviewed to confirm eligibility and identify circumstances where reliable transportation can make a significant positive difference.

Please answer all questions completely and honestly. Meeting the eligibility requirements does not guarantee that an applicant will receive a vehicle. This program is only for residents who have lived in Greene and Putnam counties for at least two years.

For Car Repair Applicants - You will need to submit the following with your application:

- Estimate from auto repair shop, including cost of repair(s).

For Car Replacement Applicants - You will need to submit the following with your application:

- Copy of a valid Georgia driver’s license.

- A recent pay stub or other documentation of your primary income/benefits. This will be needed from each adult member of your household.

- If you are approved for a vehicle: Proof of automobile insurance and a $450 contribution toward tax, title, and other fees will be required before the vehicle is released to you.
