Neighbors Helping Neighbors, Inc. (NHN) is a local 501(c)(3) organization that provides a hand up to neighbors facing urgent hardship. We make homes safe and livable, get families back on the road with reliable transportation, and ensure every child has a warm bed to sleep in at night.
NHN serves families facing financial hardship, including single working mothers and their children, veterans, seniors, and individuals living with a disability.
We are the only organization of our kind in the Lake Oconee area focused on restoring safety, stability and dignity through one-time, critical support that changes lives - right here at home.

One-time home repairs and improvements are offered to those who show a need. We work with local individuals, school systems, charitable organizations, churches, and government organizations to identify specific, one-time, quality-of-life-changing needs.
NHN assists in providing vehicles for families that have no other source of transportation within their household. Whether it’s providing a vehicle or assisting with a vehicle repair, our mission is to provide reliable transportation for families to commute to school and work.

The Beds for Kidz Program, in partnership with First Methodist Church - Greensboro and Lake Oconee, delivers beds to children without a bed ensuring that every child has a comfortable and safe bed to sleep in every night.
